Keep Your Loved Ones Safe from Naturally Occurring Toxins

Keep your loved ones safe from naturally occurring toxins.

Homes that get their water from a private well may be at risk for radon. NH Tap views Radon as a smaller-scale hazard for most NH homes, but we are equipped to check your home’s levels and — if an issue is found — install a system to reroute the gases safely to the outdoors.

This toxin becomes an issue as the gasses from the water infiltrate the air at high levels. When you breathe in radon for long periods, it can increase the risk of lung cancer.

NH Tap Provides Expert Analysis and Removal

NH Tap provides expert analysis and removal.

Radon is an odorless, colorless gas that naturally occurs around the world, with traces found in soil, rocks, groundwater, plants, animals, and the human body.

Ultimately, we can’t escape radon completely, but we can take measures to reduce high household levels and lessen the potential negative impacts. The NHTap team is able to come to your home to provide a contactless analysis of your radon levels, discuss your home’s results, and create an action plan if needed.

Let’s find out what’s in your water.

The EPA recommends aeration as the best available system for removing radon from water. Home aeration units expose the water to air to allow the dissolved radon gas to be collected and vented to the outside. With new technological advancements in home aeration, these units can have radon removal efficiencies of up to 99.9%.

How the NH Tap Radon Removal System Works

How it works.

  1. Well water passes into the NH Tap Radon Aeration System before entering the home.
  2. The system blower forces air into the tank, creating gas bubbles that rise to the surface.
  3. Once at the surface, the vent line reroutes or “vents” the gases to a point outside the home, before the water reaches fixtures and appliances.
  4. You can safely enjoy your treated water from any faucet in your home.

Most contaminants can be easily tested on-site, but contaminants such as radon and arsenic must be sent to an independent lab for testing. Once the lab results come in (usually within 1 week), we will share them with you and provide a quote for any necessary remediation.

We recommend that Radon Water or Bubble-up Systems are serviced once per year, which includes disassembling, cleaning, disinfecting, and reassembling. We are able to put you on an auto-reminder service plan that keeps your water running smoothly.

Radon fans typically last for 5 years or more and may need to be repaired or replaced. It is a good idea to retest your home at least every two years to be sure radon levels remain low. Our system does come with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty on parts.
