Specifically designed for your water

Specifically designed for your water.

By testing water samples and analyzing data from numerous 3rd-party sources, the NH Tap Mainframe Whole House Water Filtration System is able to create up-to-date water quality profiles for individual New Hampshire towns and cities. This ensures our systems are tailored to your home’s specific water needs.

Let’s find out what’s in your water.

Superior Water Filtration

Superior filtration technology.

As the impurities in tap water meet the filtration materials, an elemental reaction occurs, giving you clean water. Our system’s technology causes impurities to bond with the filtration media, trapping and destroying them before they can be circulated into the home.

Purified water does not harm your health with toxic chemicals like PFOA, chlorine, or heavy-metal lead. This is the safest, most cost-efficient, and effective way to purify water on the market.

Longer lifespan, simple service.

We have complete oversight of our production process, giving you a superior product that outperforms and outlasts the generic filters commonly installed by most plumbing contractors and well service companies. Each NH Tap Mainframe is tailored to treat common contaminants found in New Hampshire public water.

The question is not whether your municipal water is contaminated. But rather just how bad is it, and what will you do about it?

In the past, homeowners assumed that because they were on municipal water, their water was clean—or at least clean enough. However, new research continues to find that treated water traveling through antiquated public infrastructure is often teeming with heavy metals, industrial chemicals, and natural contaminants. The only immediate solution is to remove contaminants at the individual home level.

A whole house water filtration system removes both natural and treatment byproducts from your local city water with filtration media. Rather than filtering just a single faucet like a Reverse Osmosis System, a whole home water filtration system delivers purified water throughout your entire home.

There are various options and quality factors that will impact the cost of a water filtration system. The average price for a countertop or under sink system runs $60–$2000 installed. Whole-home filtration systems vary from $2,000 to $7,000 installed, but you will be getting clean water at every faucet. The primary variables on cost include the types of contamination affecting your water, the level of contamination, and the complexity of the installation itself.

The best water filtration system for you depends on your lifestyle, budget, and water quality. Primarily there are Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems and Whole-House Water Filtration Systems to consider—and each has it's pros and cons.

Reverse Osmosis systems are less expensive to maintain and do a great job of removing even the most challenging of contaminants. However they do have drawbacks—RO systems only filter one dedicated drinking water faucet and can remove beneficial minerals along with the heavy metals, pesticides and herbicides, chemicals, and hormones found in water.

Whenever feasible, we prefer the Whole House Filtration System because it provides fresh water for bathing, cooking, and cleaning. Despite a higher upfront cost, Whole House Filtration systems have longer maintenance intervals while providing a holistic water solution for your home or business.

There are typically two separate filters to consider when maintaining your NH Tap whole home water filtration system: the sediment filter and the filtration media tank.

The sediment filter is the first inline from your home water main and has a blue canister with a cartridge inside. These cartridges should be replaced every 1 to 3 months. Replacing this cartridge is a simple task, but it is important to keep up with these as a clogged sediment filter can reduce or completely stop water flow.

Maintaining your filtration media tank is much simpler. Your NH Tap whole house water filtration system has automatic regeneration cycles that can be scheduled specifically to coordinate your water usage and lifestyle. These ""re-gen"" cycles greatly extend the lifecycle of the filtration media versus older or lower quality systems. Eventually, your filtration media will need to be replaced (usually within 2–5 years depending on your water use). This is a simple process of exchanging the old media tank for disposal and replacing it with a new media tank.

We recommend setting up scheduled maintenance visits so that your unit can continue working well for years to come. Once you sign up, we send out trained technicians regularly to inspect and maintain your unit, so your fresh water is always on autopilot! Enjoy peace of mind and one less thing to think about!

All NH Tap water filtration systems include professional installation in the quoted price. While a handy homeowner can install a big box store unit themselves, NH Tap whole house water filtrations are always installed by a licensed plumber to ensure quality workmanship and longevity for your system.

To install a whole house filtration system, our plumbers typically will:

  1. Choose the filtration unit's location.
  2. Turn off the building's water supply.
  3. Remove a part of the pipe near the water main shutoff valve, where you can mount the unit on the wall or floor, and remove burrs.
  4. Install the copper tees and connect them with a pipe and ball valve.
  5. Depending on the unit and whether you have a pre-filter or not, add a ball-valve on either side, dry fitting it all. Mount the units, continue the piping, hooking it up with a dry fit.
  6. Clean your copper lines with an emery cloth. Use the deburring tool to finish it. Apply flux and solder the connections.
  7. Add a grounding jumper cable if you have copper or galvanized pipes.
  8. Carefully route drain lines to avoid spilling or freezing and causing damage to the home.
  9. Remove and dispose of any old equipment.

As always when dealing with water in the home, we feel strongly that an ambitious homeowner can save money in other places, but handling the installation and maintenance of a whole-home water filtration system is best left to the pros.
